Tube collimators
The new range of tube collimators from Optical Surfaces is based on its off-axis paraboloids using zero expansion glass ceramic to ensure long term stability
The new range of tube collimators from Optical Surfaces is basedon its off-axis paraboloids using zero expansion glass ceramic toensure long term stability.
Constructed in aluminium with mattblack internal walls, the units can be supplied athermalised tosuit a wide range of conditions.
All optics within the tubecollimators come pre-aligned in stress-free mounts.
The combinedoptical performance is better than lambda/5 p-v at 633nmwavefront in the field centre.
To facilitate ease of use each ofthe collimator's three feet is adjustable by +/-10mm forcentre height positioning.
Unlike other collimator solutions, thenew Optical Surfaces range is transportable from site to sitewhile maintaining alignment.
As standard, all optics with thetube collimators come coated with aluminium and magnesiumfluoride, providing achromatic performance at any wavelength fromthe ultra-violet through the visible into the infrared.Alternative specialised coatings such as gold, silver, anddielectric are available.
Each system has an output port datumplane giving a defined distance to the focus.
All collimatorsprovide a 20mm field ensuring compatibility with standard blackbodies.
Customised systems can be supplied with larger fieldsizes, different output interfaces and platforms.
Other optionsinclude reticle holders, lamphouses and black bodies.
