Start with the news release Safety innovation gains university backing from De Montfort University Leicester, which we summarised at the time by saying "An invention to help reduce accidents in hospitals and laboratories is a step closer to commercial success after its creator tapped into university expertise". Earlier in the week, we featured the news release Litigation to protect HPLC intellectual property from Agilent Technologies Europe: "Agilent Technologies has filed litigation against Advanced Materials Technology (AMT) in the Delaware Court of Chancery to protect its high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) technology".
 
In December 2007, we covered the news from Ipsogen concerning its Jak2 - take a look at Pilot study on Jak2 cancer biomarker which says: "Ipsogen has entered into a pilot agreement with AstraZeneca to evaluate molecular services and products in cancer research".
