We see from your search that you're looking for information on the term "Phase Separation", and we have a large number of manufacturers' news releases and technical articles here on Laboratorytalk which will be of interest. Let me be your guide.

Start with the news release Ultrasonic transesterification of oil to biodiesel from Hielscher USA, which we summarised at the time by saying "Ultrasonication can improve the conversion processing of vegetable oils or animal fats to biodiesel by improved mixing and enhanced chemical activity". A few weeks before, we featured the news release Dispersion analysis by analytical centrifugation from Microfluidics: "Process optimisation for making stable emulsions using accelerated dispersion analysis by multisample analytical centrifugation".

In July 2006, we covered the news from SeQuant concerning its Zic-Hilic column - take a look at Separation of sugars by hydrophilic interaction which says: "The separation of mixtures of complex sugars can be dramatically enhanced by the use of a stationary phase based on zwitterionic hydrophilic interaction chromatography (Zic-Hilic)".

Take a look also at the news release from Fullbrook Systems, Measuring phase separation of heavy fuel oils, as well as Where conductivity is key from Endress + Hauser, and Free purification and work-up tools from Radleys.
