International Specialty Products (ISP) has announced that,through its subsidiaries, it has acquired the business and assetsof Hallcrest.

Hallcrest is a manufacturer and marketer of custommicroencapsulation and liquid crystal technologies for thepersonal care, home care, oral care and food industries, with abroad customer base that includes multinational Fortune 100companies as well as many other producers of finished productsthroughout the world.

The Hallcrest headquarters is located inPoole, United Kingdom.

Hallcrest has an established reputationfor its expertise in microencapsulation - particularly using thecomplex coacervation process.

This technique permits the controlof a large number of process and material variables, allowing theappearance and performance of the microcapsules to be customised,significantly enhancing final product value.
