ABB will be presenting the latest technology from its comprehensive range of instrumentation products and systems at Mtec 2004 (Birmingham NEC, 11-12 February 2004)

A major highlight at ABB's stand will be the new FieldIT 2600T pressure transmitter series With a vast selection of options, including materials, working pressure, fill fluids, remote seal options and communications standards, the 2600T series offers a complete range of pressure measurement equipment for any application

As well as multivariable, differential pressure, gauge and liquid level options, certified safety transmitter options are available for use in SIL2 environments, providing a single pressure measurement device for hazardous applications.

Another highlight will be ABB's FieldIT V4000 Trio-Wirl swirlmeter, for accurate flow measurement of gases, steam and liquids across a wide range of temperatures.

Incorporating digital signal processing (DSP) technology, flowmeters in the Trio-Wirl range offer greatly improved signal processing.

They can also provide significant installation cost savings relative to flowmeters based on conventional technology.

Trio-Wirl flowmeters are available in either two-wire or four-wire converter versions, with integral or remote options where the converter unit can be installed up to ten metres from the flow sensor, particularly ideal for extreme operating conditions.

ABB's stand at MTEC will also feature the InformIT SM2000 and large-screen SM3000 videographic data recorders.

Fully compliant with the US FDA's 21 CFR Part 11 regulations concerning electronic process data collection, recorders in the SM series are ideal for use in any application requiring an advanced paperless recorder.

ABB provides a wide variety of Foundation Fieldbus, Profibus and Hart enabled instrumentation.

All products in ABB's instrumentation range are also Industrial IT enabled, allowing them to be used with other ABB IndustrialIT enabled products to form a tightly integrated control system where information on device status can be accessed and controlled in real-time onsite or via the Internet.
