Thermo Fisher releases RNA clean-up in UK

A Thermo Scientific (ABgene) product story
Edited by the Laboratorytalk editorial team Oct 28, 2008

Thermo Fisher Scientific has announced that the Macherey-Nagel Nucleospin RNA clean-up XS kit is now available to UK scientists.

These specialised extraction columns allow fast and convenient clean-up of RNA samples, completely removing RT-PCR inhibitors and providing highly concentrated, ready-to-use RNA in an extremely small elution volume (5 - 20 microlitres).

Nucleospin RNA clean-up XS is ideal for the clean-up and concentration of pre-purified RNA, such as phenol or chloroform extracts, or for the purification of RNA from reaction mixtures, such as amplification, labelling or DNase digestions.

Sample volumes of up to 300 microlitres, containing up to 90 microgrammes of RNA, are simply loaded onto the column and can be eluted in as little as 5 - 20 microlitres, allowing RNA samples to be concentrated by up to 50 times.

The purified RNA is then ready to use in RT-PCR or other RNA applications.

Nucleospin RNA clean-up XS is available in a variety of pack sizes (10, 50 or 250 preparations) to suit all workloads, and contains everything required for RNA clean-up, including columns, collection tubes and buffers.

Nucleospin RNA clean-up XS is available in the UK from Thermo Fisher Scientific, Epsom.
