Achema 2006 boosted by UK government
support

With almost 700 exhibitors already booked into its laboratory and analytical techniques theme group, Achema 2006 claims to be the most important showplace for this sector in Europe this year

The UK will have the largest overseas presence at Achema 2006, with over 50 companies exhibiting directly and many more through local partners The participation of British companies should be boosted further over the coming months by the recent decision of UK Trade and Industry to include Achema 2006 as an exhibitions for which it will provide export grant aid to smaller new-to-export companies

Qualifying companies in the laboratory and analytical sector will be eligible for a maximum grant of £1800, administered by Gambica, the industry trade association.

Achema already has low cost tariffs for start-up companies, while relevant universities can qualify for free exhibition space within the Research and Innovation theme group.

With overall exhibitor bookings running level with the 2003 total, the triennial Achema show continues to confound those critics who claim that major international exhibitions are a thing of the past, says the organiser.

Achema is a series of different but inter-related shows, acting as a focal point for the global process engineering industry.

End users, contractors, raw material suppliers, component suppliers, distributors, manufacturers and researchers are all present in great numbers; up to 200,000 visitors can see almost 4000 exhibitors and attend a congress with more than 800 technical papers.
