Weighing the benefits
Adam Equipment has launched a new version of its top of the range AAA series of precision analytical balances, which have become a standard feature in many research laboratories
The CPW scales have a stainless steel base and weighing platform with a remote indicator in aluminium housing.
The separate keypad means that the scale itself can be located in a specific area, whilst the keypad remains more accessible.
The keypad is simple to use with only four buttons: on/off, gross/net, tare and unit selector (switchable between kilograms and pounds).
The large LCD display shows net and gross weights, zero and the weighing units and has an symbol to show when the reading is stable.
Calibration is automatic using an external standard.
The compact size - the CPW scale is 310x300x50mm and the indicator 270x80x30mm - means that the unit is truly portable and it operates from six AA batteries or a 9v mains adaptor which is supplied as standard.
