Mathcad combines five technical software tools in high-value special offer
Surveys have shown that Excel is the most widely used software for data acquisition.
While of course Excel cannot do the job of a dedicated data acquisition set-up and control or application development program, it is a useful tool for those who simply want to tabulate measurement data and perform basic analysis routines.
The problem is, how do you get that data into Excel in the first place, without either doing some programming or manually entering columns of figures? The answer is Das-Wizard.

Get encoder data into your PC
New cards from ComputerBoards allow encoder signals such as displacement data to be ported into PC applications without the need for add-on hardware - encoder support is built into the boards.
Das-Wizard is a powerful add-in for Microsoft Excel 2000 and later, which allows you to collect data from any data acquisition board from Measurement Computing.
Data can be acquired from external sources using an analogue input, digital input or temperature input board directly into the cells of an Excel spreadsheet.
Conversely, data from a spreadsheet can be output to an analogue or digital output board.
The data can be in the format of A/D counts, volts or temperature.
A/D counts may be converted into any type of engineering units, and basic analyses carried out, using Excel's own built-in functions.
A simple dialogue box allows you to configure the data acquisition board and set the range of cells in the spreadsheet.
Using Das-Wizard and Excel, you do not have to write a single line of code to perform any data acquisition task.
This latest version adds support for analogue input ranges, and works with Measurement Computing's latest USB data acquisition devices as well its range of PCI, PCMCIA and ISA cards and PC/104 devices.
It supports Excel 2000 and later on Windows 2000 and XP platforms.
Das-Wizard version 3 is an ideal solution for temperature logging, laboratory experiments, product testing and verification, research and development, quality control and education.
Measurement Computing is well known for its comprehensive range of high quality, low priced analogue I/O, digital I/O, GPIB, counter/timer and temperature logging hardware.
Its full product range is supplied and supported in the UK by Adept Scientific, with over 20 years experience in specifying and supplying data acquisition solutions for a broad range of applications.
