Agilent appoints Danilo Cazzola as vice president of sales, marketing and customer support for its European life sciences and chemical analysis business
Agilent Technologies Europe has announced the appointment of Danilo Cazzola as vice president of sales, marketing and customer support for the life sciences and chemical analysis (LSCA) business in Europe He is replacing Ken Riley, who retired from Agilent on 1 November 2003

Cazzola will lead the marketing, sales and support services for Agilent LSCA in Europe.
Agilent's growing life sciences business is aimed at the drug discovery, genomics, proteomics and molecular diagnostics markets.
In chemical analysis, Agilent says it is the recognised industry leader across many fields, including the environmental, petrochemical, chemical, food safety and agbio markets.
"I am looking forward to leading Agilent's life sciences and chemical analysis team in Europe as we break new ground in scientific advancement and financial performance," said Cazzola.
"We have reached a very exciting moment in Agilent's development, as the company partners with leading research institutions to try to unlock the mysteries surrounding life-threatening diseases such as cancer and heart disease".
Cazzola's most recent roles were with Hewlett-Packard (HP), as vice president of marketing Europe for the imaging and printing business and as Italian general manager for the consumer business organisation.
Prior to that, Cazzola held a number of management positions in sales and marketing for HP's chemical analysis group, which was spun off as a part of Agilent in 1999.
His positions included worldwide channels manager, where he initiated a number of programmes that remain in place today.
"We are very fortunate to have Danilo back with us at Agilent," said Lynn Jarke, vice president of worldwide sales, marketing and customer support for LSCA.
"He brings a breadth of sales, marketing and customer support experience together with an in-depth knowledge of our customers, products and business".
Cazzola, an HP and Agilent employee since 1987, holds a doctorate in organic chemistry from the University of Milan, and lives with his wife and two children in Milan.
