Agilent completes on Scientific Software
Acquisition of Scientific Software, a provider of scientific information management systems, has been completed
Agilent Technologies has announced the completion of its acquisition of Scientific Software, a provider of scientific information management systems Agilent and Scientific Software had announced an acquisition agreement on 25 May 2005
The acquisition brings together Agilent's analytical instrumentation, data systems and services with SSI's position in chromatographic data systems and informatics.
It is expected that the combined product portfolios will enable customers to unify their lab needs with one software application, handling diverse data, applications and instruments from multiple vendors in a single, seamless and secure environment.
Most of SSI's 80 employees have joined Agilent as part of the company's life sciences and chemical analysis business.
