Agilent Technologies has announced the launch of new 1200 Series diode-array and multiple-wavelength detectors featuring improved noise specifications

These liquid chromatography detectors enable scientists to reach lower detection limits, even under harsh, fluctuating ambient temperature and humidity conditions Newly added radio frequency identification (RFID) tags for flow cells and a UV lamp provide new levels of data traceability

The RFID tags record such parameters as product and serial number, production date, cell dimensions, lifetime and usage of the lamp, and the last date of a successful cell or lamp test.

This information is saved with each individual raw-data file.

"These new detectors reinforce the scalable and open architecture of the 1200 Series LC platform," said Agilent product manager Christian Gotenfels.

"They can be easily upgraded to work with SL models for rapid resolution LC with an 80Hz sampling rate, making this a secure investment in the future of our customers' labs.".
