Filter thimbles for Soxhlet extraction

The new range of Anachem filter thimbles for use in applications such as Soxhlet extraction provide a safe, convenient and efficient method of solvent extraction of solids and semi-solids

These high quality extraction thimbles from Munktell are useful for a wide variety of analytical procedures These include smoke stack gas monitoring, analysing pesticide residues, determining oil and fat content of foods and analysis of oil and grease in solid wastes

Munktell extraction thimbles have a reputation for purity and consistent high quality.

They are manufactured from high-alpha cellulose cotton linters to give a high purity thimble which is mechanically strong and has excellent retention capacity.

Thimbles are also available in micro glass fibre and micro quartz fibre in a wide variety of sizes, shapes and wall thicknesses to suit your application.

High purity micro-glass fibre thimbles are manufactured from 100% pure borosilicate glass and are recommended for aggressive solvents.

Completely free of binders or additives they can be used at temperatures up to 550C or when using solvents incompatible with cellulose thimbles.

Micro-quartz Fibre Thimbles have been specially developed for the analysis of air pollution, they are available binder free and can resist temperatures up to 900C.
