Steamline the cell culture process
OptiCell is a 'revolutionary' new format for high performance cell culture technology based on the novel concept of cell growth on a respiratory active membrane (RAM)
OptiCell's unique, patented plate design saves time and money by reducing the steps and equipment required Its compact construction saves you vast amounts of valuable bench, incubator and storage space

Plate preparation workstations have high capacity
In addition to pipetting, plate gripping, and moving capabilities, the workstations can interface with other laboratory equipment such as washers, mixers, incubators, and readers
Disposable tips increase throughput
The addition of disposable tips to liquid handler offers an important tool for including DNA probes, PCR preparation, automated sample prep and electrophoresis
Individualized barcoding simplifies tracking of samples.
OptiCell is the ideal tool for efficient cell culture and set up of downstream processes including in situ microscopy, time lapse studies, in situ immunocytostaining, transfections and single-cell cloning says Anachem.
It can even be used for shipping live cells, direct from incubator to mailer to incubator.
The secret of OptiCell is a completely different culture system than traditional flasks.
A sterile, sealed cell culture environment is enclosed between two optically clear gas-permeable polystyrene growth surfaces in a microtitre plate sized frame.
The cultured cells live on an interactive substrate, separating them from the regular atmosphere and allowing diffusion of O2 and CO2 for optimal growth.
The membrane eliminates cross-contamination and provides a stable, balanced media pH.
Easy aseptic access to the interior and contents is facilitated through a self-sealing port.
With a media volume of only 10ml, each OptiCell provides 100cm2 of growth surface area in a fraction of the space of conventional cell culture devices It uses less than one-fifth the bench-top, incubator, or storage space, provides one-third more growth surface, and generates one-third less solid waste by weight than a traditional culture flask.
Both adherent and non-adherent cells can be cultured in OptiCell.
Cells are in contact with media at all times, facilitating OptiCell's use in automated cell culture practices.
OptiCell offers the ability to separate and scale up selected cell populations in the same sterile environment. Request a free brochure from Anachem ...
