This gives British companies and institutions access to an entirely new range of high performance systems, backed by first hand experience of the demands of the UK and European markets.
Some of the new products now available to UK customers include air flow benches for use in medical/pathology laboratories, Class 1 and 2 biohazard cabinets for the storage of potentially dangerous materials, and the Purair range of ductless fume cupboards for general laboratory work.

The products in the Purair range feature a chemical resistant epoxy coated steel superstructure, clear back and side panels for 360deg visibility, internal lighting, audible and visual filter alarms and an integral test port that enables manual filter monitoring.
They also incorporate a continuous air velocity monitoring system and offer a choice of 14 different types of carbon for the main filter.
Hepa filters for particulate filtration are also available.
Furthermore, they are fitted with a pre-filter which protects the mechanisms in the head section, ensuring that all switches and electrical components are isolated from any contamination.
Like Air Science's own systems, the new fume cupboards and downflow work stations make use of self-contained air filtration units that do not require air extraction systems or ducting to ensure a safe working environment.
Consequently, they can be installed quickly and easily, without disruption to working routines, and because they operate without the need to move large amounts of air through a building, they are generally far more energy efficient than conventional alternatives.
All the new systems comply with the requirements of British Standard BS7989:2001 and can be tailored to suit particular customer requirements.
