The development of flow cytometry as both a clinical and research tool has necessitated the development of innovative and unique reagents

Alpha Laboratories supplies a range of controls and reagents from Streck Laboratories, a recognised innovator of haematology flow cytometry reagents supplying 35% of the controls worldwide For use in the clinical laboratory, CE marked products include Cytochex reagents that preserve samples for up to seven days to help manage workloads

CD-Chex CD34 is a stabilised preparation of human blood leukocytes, which can be used as a complete process control when evaluating CD34 positive cells.

It is compatible with both Ishage and Procount gating strategies.

CD-Chex CD34 assay values match CD34 numbers normally found in umbilical cell blood and has 90-day closed-vial and 30-day open-vial stability.

CD-Chex Plus is an assayed control for monitoring immunophenotyping by flow cytometry.

CD-Chex Plus determines the accuracy and reproducibility of all the steps involved in the process of immunophenotyping, including red blood cell lysis.

Reference values for five subsets of leukocytes include T lymphocytes, B lymphocytes, granulocytes, monocytes, and NK cells.

CD-Chex Plus is assayed for normal levels of CD34+ cells found in peripheral blood and has 90-day closed-vial and 30-day open-vial stability.

For the non-clinical research laboratory, flow cytometry sheath fluid is available as conveniently packaged concentrate of 70ml bottles for reconstitution in three litres of distilled water.

Performance specifications are equivalent to BD Facsflow sheath fluid.
