Ambion's RNAlater reagent revolutionises the collection, storage and shipping of tissues to be used for RNA isolation by elinminating the need for deep refrigeration

RNAlater is an aqueous, non-toxic tissue storage reagent that rapidly permeates tissue to stabilise and protect cellular RNA By stabilising cellular RNA at room temperature, it virtually eliminates the need for dry ice, liquid nitrogen, and -80C freezers for the collection and storage of tissues

Tissue pieces can be harvested and submerged in RNAlater for storage without jeopardising the quality or quantity of RNA obtained after RNA isolation.

Once saturated in RNAlater tissues can be removed, dissected or weighed at room temperature.

Tissues can be shipped on wet ice or even at ambient temperatures without fear of RNA degradation.

RNAlater is compatible with most RNA isolation protocols.

RNAlater immediately inactivates RNases in cells and tissues, is compatible with most RNA isolation procedures, is perfect for field and clinical sample collection, and is nontoxic.
