Ambion says its new ArrayControl system is ideal for glass array printing and for protocol assessment and optimisation, printing PCR and Oligo spots and RNA spikes onto arrays

ArrayControl consists of three products: PCR Spots and Oligo Spots (sense or antisense), that are printed onto your gene arrays alongside the experimental spots, and complementary RNA Spikes, that are added to your RNA sample prior to preparing labelled cDNA The hybridisation signals for ArrayControl Spots and Spikes are used to assess accuracy and consistency of array printing, normalisation coefficient, and protocol sensitivity

Because manufacturing and quantitation of all components in the ArrayControl System are consistent from lot to lot, signals can be compared to assess array printing reproducibility and to compare data between experiments.
