Clinical capillary electrophoresis
The Sebia Capillarys system optimises the concept of liquid flow electrophoresis for application in the clinical diagnostic laboratory, and is now available from Analytical Technologies
Fully automated with results available in 10 minutes, Capillarys works in conjunction with the Hydrasys multi-parameter agarose electrophoresis system, and can be used to detect paraproteins in clinical biochemistry laboratories The system provides complete walkaway automation and is designed for the continuous feed and processing of up to 100 barcoded samples per hour

New CDT capabilities
Range of immunotyping, high resolution and carbohydrate deficient transferrin capabilities will be shown for the first time in the UK
Using eight capillary tubes, proteins can be directly detected at a set wavelength with a high degree of precision and accuracy.
During sample migrations, a Peltier device controls the temperature to ensure consistent reproducibility between analyses and capillaries.
An optional addition of the Phoresis imaging system can be connected for scanning and storing immunofixation gel images for archive.
An optional modem connection allows the inter-lab transfer of results including curves, workflow (for optimisation) and results reporting, and is also suitable for an intra-lab database network for results management.
