Electrophoresis interpretation aided by software

A Sebia UK product story
Edited by the Laboratorytalk editorial team Feb 5, 2008

Sebia has introduced Neurosoft: a dedicated software tool designed to complement its automated capillary electrophoresis systems in routine biochemistry and immunology laboratories

Assisting biomedical and clinical scientists with result reporting and clinical diagnosis, Neurosoft uses a reference database to differentiate between normal and abnormal serum protein patterns and automatically classify patient results.

Analysis time is significantly reduced as over 200 results can be processed in under two minutes, and standardised results screening removes the potential subjectivity of manual curve interpretation.

The expert user can accept or refuse the interpretation offered at their discretion.

Through investment in advanced technologies Sebia has developed a range of automated electrophoresis systems to meet the changing needs of today's clinical laboratories.

Both the flagship Capillarys and compact Minicap provide fully automated screening of serum proteins which, combined with the added functionality of Neurosoft, create a powerful diagnostic package.
