Customer-demand for high throughput automated analysis has driven the development of the unique control software, which allows communication between automation and titration software packages, enabling preparation of a sample while the preceding sample is being analysed.
In addition to the high throughput, the key objectives are to improve running costs, performance and efficiency in laboratories, therefore achieving a quicker return on results.
SGS Vernolab UK, based in Ellesmere Port, Cheshire is a valued customer of Anachem.
Part of the worldwide inspection and testing SGS group, it is a market leader in laboratory analysis of used oil.
Used oil analysis is a preventative maintenance technique that can give a 10% saving on production costs.
It provides - similar to blood testing for medicals - a health check on oil longevity and machinery condition.
Adrian Allman, operations manager of SGS Vernolab UK, has been using Titrafast for total acid number (TAN) and total base number (TBN) analysis, key tests for used oil applications.
He continues to benefit from the cutting edge technology and distinct advantages that Titrafast has to offer, explaining: "Without doubt, this is the best piece of laboratory equipment I have ever bought.
"The system has totally revolutionised the way in which we perform these titrations, and the costs savings were immense".
The flexibility and wide applicability of Titrafast allows it to be used for many different applications such as potentiometric and/or photometric titration, pH and conductivity measurements and density measurements, along with sample preparation such as filtration and dilution.
The added potential to interface with ion chromatography systems, AA, Karl Fischer, and HPLC gives Titrafast a unique diversity, allowing high volume automation and multiple tests to be simultaneously achieved.
