Four capillary genetic analyser
Electrophoresis system for laboratories performing low to medium throughput DNA analysis, including de novo and comparative sequencing and genotyping, can be upgraded to 16-capillary system
Applied Biosystems has announced the release of the ABI Prism 3100-Avant genetic analyser, a four capillary electrophoresis system for laboratories performing low to medium throughput DNA analysis The increased sensitivity and efficiency of the system reduces the amount of DNA required per sample injection, making it extremely cost-effective to use
As a laboratory expands, the analyser can be upgraded to the 16 capillary ABI Prism 3100 genetic analyser, increasing sample throughput fourfold.
The analyser can use both ABI Prism BigDye terminator chemistries for sequencing, and five-dye chemistries for fragment analysis.
It is ideal for life science researchers performing DNA analysis for a variety of applications, including both de novo and comparative sequencing, and genotyping in areas ranging from therapeutic discovery to food safety.
