Celebrating the 50th anniversary of the discovery of the double helix structure of DNA, a range of presentations on technological progress are available

In the 50 years since Watson and Crick discovered the double helix structure of DNA, there have been huge advances in science To celebrate the anniversary of the publication of Watson and Crick's paper in Nature, the MRC Laboratory of Molecular Biology, The Wellcome Trust Sanger Institute and The Cavendish Laboratory, University of Cambridge are hosting a conference at Lady Mitchell Halls

Internationally renowned scientists will give presentations on a range of subjects, from the history behind the discovery, to the progress made over the last 50 years.

A web cast of the day's events is available from 25th April to 23rd May via the Applied Biosystems website, along with details of other events being held to mark the anniversary.
