Chemistry for fast DNA isolation

The isolation of DNA from fresh or frozen samples is no longer a difficult process, thanks to a new preparative chemistry from Applied Biosystems BloodPrep Chemistry can purify DNA from a variety of samples including blood, buffy coat, leucocyte fractions, buccal swabs and tissue culture cells

There are no centrifugation steps required and a unique two-step elution system allows high quality DNA to be recovered at room temperature in approximately three minutes.
96 samples can be processed in less than an hour and the resulting DNA is virtually free of contaminating proteins and PCR inhibitors.
