With the new range of CCD and CMOS cameras available from Armstrong Optical, the need to interface via a frame grabber is a thing of the past

The camera range is said to be ideal for all machine vision, security/surveillance, scientific analysis, metrology and general imaging applications since all units have on-board USB2.0 output Colour and black/white options are available and any C-mount lens can be used with these systems

Power for the cameras is provided by the 5V input of the USB2.0 and frame rates as high as 200fps can be accommodated.

Also in the range is an NTSC/Pal-to-USB2.0 converter that can be added to any camera system with standard video output, once again allowing frame grabbers to be dispensed with.
