Armstrong Optical has released the new Sydor Ross X-ray streak camera, the latest evolution of the Sydor Ross product family from Sydor Instruments, into the UK market

"Based on the platform of the Sydor Ross streak camera the Sydor Ross X-Ray streak camera will deliver the highest precision and accuracy enabling single secondary electron detection and world-class performance in the most demanding applications," said Michael Pavia, president of Sydor Instruments Sydor Instruments is the only commercial supplier of the Ross (Rochester Optical Streak System) technology, which has been developed under an exclusive license from the University of Rochester, Laboratory for Laser Energetics

"This is an evolution of breakthrough technology and builds on the previous success of the Sydor Ross 5100 and 8200 UV, visible, and IR streak cameras," said Pavia.

"The Sydor Ross family of streak cameras now cover the full spectrum of diagnostic wavelengths coupled with advanced software for comprehensive experimental analysis".

Application areas for the Sydor Ross family of products include inertial confinement fusion - beam synchronisation, temporal pulse shaping, power balance, Visar, X-ray plasma diagnostics; particle physics - laser electron acceleration, molecular and biochemical studies, quantum physics; optical signal analysis for telecommunications; molecular imaging; EUV and plasma light sources for microlithography.
