Mobile lab benches give flexibility

An Associated Laboratory Services (UK) product story

Newly developed range of mobile laboratory benching suits two different laboratories with very different requirements

Bio Products Laboratory (BPL), and the UK Human Tissue Bank (UKHTB) based at De Montford University in Leicester, are the latest companies to take delivery of the newly developed range of mobile laboratory benching from Associated Laboratory Services UK.

UKHTB needed its new laboratory facility to be flexible in order to accommodate changing work loads.

Six 1500mm wide mobile benches, complete with under bench storage, were delivered.

Shaun Kingston of UKHTB said: "This is a new laboratory, and as such we were uncertain of the layout we wanted, so flexibility was the key issue for us.

"These mobile benches enable us to change the layout of our laboratory as and when required".

Meanwhile, BPL needed extra bench space for an existing laboratory.

"We needed a mobile bench to complement the existing laboratory installation, and Associated Laboratory Services was the only company to react positively to our requirements and offer exactly what was needed.

"They were also well within our budget" said Margaret Pattman, laboratory manager at BPL.
