Blue LED replaces arrays
30mW DC power output at 470nm wavelength and 120 degree emission angle, with a high thermal conductivity package allowing low working temperatures
AP Technologies announces the release of the OD-470 high output blue LED with a typical emission wavelength of 470nm and output power of 30mW DC The 120deg emission angle allows a reduction in the number of packages in applications requiring large angular coverage or high power
Conversely the single chip and single package design allows for improved collimation via an external lens when compared with a chip or package array, while providing comparable total power.
Excellent reliability is achieved through the use of a high thermal conductivity metal package, which allows the LED chip to maintain a low working temperature at high powers.
Pricing at the 100 piece level is $7.50 with delivery in two to four weeks from time of order.
Custom versions of this device are available in visible and NIR wavelengths, including multi-chip arrays and plastic fibre coupled packages.
