Bio-Chem begins production at Shanghai factory

Bio-Chem Fluidics, which makes inert miniature fluid-handling components for laboratory instrumentation, has received a Chinese Business License for its new factory in Shanghai.

The company is now a wholly foreign-owned enterprise (WFOE) and has full import/export capabilities.

Bio-Chem has already begun manufacturing and selling finished products and electrical sub-assemblies, with more new products to be introduced over the coming months.

The Shanghai factory will also serve as a global sourcing centre for operations in North America and Europe.

Bio-Chem Fluidics is one of four Halma companies (including Castell Safety, Labsphere and Ocean Optics) that have begun production at the site.
