The powder coated metal track profile, together with some associated plastic components all now provide a full 24/7 protection against the growth or proliferation of contagious and harmful organisms.
Silent Gliss is the only cubicle track supplier which provides its products with BioCote surface protection.
The well documented anti-microbial properties of the treatment are based upon silver, which is shown by independent laboratories to be 99.9% effective against harmful bacteria such as MRSA, common mould and fungi.
The treatments are incorporated into the products during the manufacturing process and provide a high level of protection for the life of the product.
To date there is no known evidence of resistance by bacteria towards BioCote technology, says the company.
Biocote treatment is not affected by disinfectant, detergent or sterilising products and cannot be removed or washed away, it says.
BioCote provides a highly effective second line of defence, but should not replace conventional cleaning or hygienic procedures.
