Biode has introduced the VisTherm solid state temperature control module option for its ViSmart viscosity sensor for laboratory applications

The VisTherm provides the customer with the ability to temperature control the ViSmart viscosity sensor and the fluid to tightly specified values and instantaneously start acquiring viscosity and temperature data The VisTherm is an accurate, reliable, compact and portable thermo-electric module which uses solid-state Pelletier elements, wherein the customer simply puts the fluid on the ViSmart sensor surface and dials in a control temperature

Customers are offered a choice of PFA Teflon or UHMW (ultra high molecular weight) plastic parts for thermo-electric components.

The Biode ViSmart, designed for challenging embedded applications, is a solid-state sensor without any moving parts, unaffected by vibration or flow conditions and does not need field calibration.

The ViSmart integrates to the eCup handheld reader or the ViscNet control hub to provide a continuous audit trail for process monitoring markets.
