Bio-Rad Laboratories announces the distribution of Axis-Shield's newly FDA 510(k) cleared Anti-CCP Elisa Kit (cyclic citrullinated peptide) in North and South America.

Using a second-generation peptide, the Anti-CCP Elisa is a new marker for the early detection of rheumatoid arthritis (RA).

The Anti-CCP test detects antibodies to cyclic citrullinated peptide (CCP) in blood and plasma samples.

This new assay allows superior specificity and performance compared to current methods of detection such as rheumatoid factor (RF), which is the most frequently used serological measurement of RA.

Bio-Rad offers a 96-Test kit with an easy-to-use assay protocol for both semi-quantitative and qualitative result interpretations.
