Moisture proof temperature sensors
Developed as a solution for a wide range of temperature measurement applications where moisture proofness is required
With the exception of time, temperature is measured more than any other variable in our world today Given the pervasiveness of temperature sensing and measurement needs, it is therefore not surprising that temperature sensors are required to detect, measure and control temperature in a wide number of environments

Proven reliability aim for thermistors
Betatherm Ireland has embarked on extensive reliability studies across a wide range of its temperature sensing products.
New advancements in thermistor size and accuracy
For high precision temperature in the medical and instrumentation markets where temperature sensors are widely used inside the body to measure or control temperature
In particular, when sensors are used in low temperature applications (eg -50C), free-thaw applications (refrigeration) or water immersion applications (swimming pools, spas), the insulation characteristics of the temperature sensor itself are of huge importance.
When exposed to such environments any moisture ingress affects the electrical behaviour of the sensor and as a result the accuracy and reliability of its performance.
Betatherm's moisture proof probe has been developed as a solution for a wide range of applications where moisture proofness is required.
These include refrigeration applications (including avaporator coil and industrial case refrigeration), under floor heating systems, climate control systems, swimming pools, sauna and oceanographic equipment.
Based on NTC thermistor technology, this overmoulded design is available as standard in both thermoplastic (24AWG) and stainless steel (316) housing.
Tested to 10,000 freeze thaw thermal cycles and exhibiting moisture proofness to environmental standard IP68, other features and benefits include suitability for operating range -50C to +150C, time response of seven seconds in water, available in a range of range of resistance curves and tolerances, customised cable lengths available.
