Electrostatic voltmeter is accurate and fast

A BFi Optilas product story
Edited by the Laboratorytalk editorial team May 13, 2005

Intended for use by OEMs for electro-photography quality control, by industry in the development of new electro-photographic products, and by universities and industry to explore electrostatics

BFi Optilas reports the introduction of Trek's model 400 electrostatic voltmeter.

This 'next generation' high performance non-contacting electrostatic voltmeter offers some features not previously available in the marketplace, including greater measurement accuracy and faster speed of response which is insensitive to distance.

The design accommodates either dual chopper probe or single chopper probe.

This product responds to the need of the electro-photography industry for increased accuracy and speed for electrostatic voltage measurement.

The model 400 is intended for use by original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) for electro-photography quality control, by industry R and D in the development of new electro-photographic products, and by university and industrial R and D for the purpose of exploring new technologies, techniques and applications relating to electrostatics.

It also addresses the need for highly accurate static charge measurement/monitoring in other applications, such as manufacturing or research environments that are highly sensitive to static charge and/or electrostatic discharge events, and the problems they cause.
