Up to 3km man-detection range

A BFi Optilas product story
Edited by the Laboratorytalk editorial team Aug 8, 2006

This is a compact environmentally sealed thermal camera integrating a 25 micron-pitch uncooled microbolometer and 150mm F/1.0 hard carbon coated lens

BFi Optilas is launching in Europe the LanScout 150-S thermal imaging camera, manufactured by Axsys-Infrared Products in Salem, USA.

The sealed IP67 packaging of this camera, backfilled with dry nitrogen, and using front element defroster, will guarantee its 24/7 operation in all kind of weather and temperature.

The performances of this model are approaching many cooled thermal cameras standards, with a man-sized target detection range up to 3km and a vehicule detection range up to 7km, but with a price and low-maintenance lifetime that can only be offered by uncooled technology.

The complete LanScout series of Axsys will be available now with either 51 micron-pitch or 25 micron-pitch VOx microbolometer detectors, with a large choice of single-field or dual-field of view lenses.
