Data collection and analysis for clinicians

A BioTek Instruments product story
Edited by the Laboratorytalk editorial team May 14, 2008

BioTek Instruments announces a new software tool for clinical laboratories using the popular ELx800 and ELx808 microplate readers

Gen5CL data collection and analysis software combines the convenience and security of preprogrammed clinical diagnostic assays with the power and flexibility of a PC-based application.

The PC-based interface provides greater flexibility in data analysis and output options than on-board microplate reader programs, including LIS system compatibility and data/protocol storage.

Previously programmed assays can be easily selected from the database and executed through the Gen5CL interface, allowing smooth transition from on-board programming to PC-driven data collection.

Additionally, custom protocols can be created and stored from the open protocol interface, and multiple user levels can be assigned with customizable permissions for increased security.

Gen5CL's data views can be customized to show preferred data sets from one plate or multiple plates in an experiment, and an optional QC Trending Module using Levy-Jennings plots is available for assay and control performance visibility.

Gen5CL is easy to upgrade and meets the requirements of 21CFR Part 11 and the European Directive 98/79/EC (IVDD).
