Biotek builds new lab at world HQ

Biotek Instruments has expanded its headquarters in Vermont, US by 8000ft2, creating a new applications laboratory and increasing the size of its service department by 50 per cent.

It will also repurpose some existing space to manufacturing.

Biotek's new laboratory will also be used to develop applications for Biotek products and prove their efficacy in real-lab environments.

This new facility includes cell-culture capability for cell-based assays, which represents 75 per cent of the lab's current activity.

Additional space in the service department includes a dedicated training room to be used for customer visits and to train service engineers from around the world.
