Three into one will go

A Bibby Scientific product story
Edited by the Laboratorytalk editorial team Sep 26, 2001

For laboratories tight on space and budget, the new three-position hotplate stirrers from Bibby Sterilin are just the job.

One of the latest additions to Bibby Sterilin's extensive range of hotplate stirrers, the user-friendly, economical units share all the features of the single place models - high safety and performance standards, top quality, reliability and strength.

Compact in design, the units offer three independent heating/stirring positions in a footprint of just 600mm x 270mm - a saving on bench space with the added convenience of a single wall socket for power.

Accommodating up to three two-litre beakers, all units have a stirring speed of up to 1500rpm.

The heated version is fitted with powerful 700W elements for rapid heating, and for user safety a hot warning light on each plate flashes if the temperature rises above 70C, continuing to do so even when the hotplate is switched off.

The stirrer model has a robust stainless steel top plate, ensuring an extremely powerful coupling and stirring action.

All models are supplied with fittings for retort rods and with 25mm PTFE coated stir bars.
