Incubators offer choice of shaking
action
Two new models of shaker incubators offer gyratory action for low foaming agitation and DNA extraction, or see-saw action for washing and blotting
The Stuart shaker incubators range has been extended to give a wider choice of shaking action The popular SI50 orbital shaker incubator is joined by two new models - the SI70 featuring a 3D gyratory motion and the SI80 with a see-saw rocking action

Something growing in this incubator range
The Stuart SI500 orbital shaker and incubator provides separate digital controls for incubator temperature and shaking speed, both of which are displayed on easy to read LED control panels
High speed shaker has in-built timer
The new SSL5 compliments the SSM5 personal plate shaker and, like the SSM5, combines high speed motion with a tiny orbit to produce the ideal conditions to mix microtitre plates or tubes
Both are based on the SI50 which was recently upgraded to take larger Erlenmeyer flasks of up to two litre capacity.
Controlled uniform heating, accurate temperatures, constantly regulated speed and three types of movement make the range ideal for a variety of incubation applications.
Offering a perfect space-saving solution, the compact units have a tier system arrangement that doubles the working surface available.
Both the new models have rocking platforms - the gentle 3D gyratory motion of the SI70 makes it highly suitable for low foaming agitation, DNA extractions, and staining and destaining gels, whilst the SI80's see-saw shaking action is ideal for washing and blotting procedures.
For accurate long-term incubation, all models have digital control and temperature display together with forced air circulation to ensure uniformity within the chamber and stable sample temperature.
The shaker speed is variable and an electronic feedback control accurately maintains set speed even over long continuous incubation periods.
Safe in use, the shaker is automatically halted when the door is opened and only re-starts when the door is closed.
A non-slip mat holds the vessels in place, and for extra sample protection, the incubators are fitted with an adjustable secondary safety cut-out system. Request a free brochure from Barloworld Scientific ...
