Now offering two units for the price of one: a hybridisation incubator with rotisserie for blotting techniques, and a shaker unit for the washing stage

Now with updated controls, the Stuart SI30H hybridisation incubator from Bibby Sterilin offers two units for the price of one: a hybridisation incubator with rotisserie for blotting techniques, and a shaker unit for the washing stage.

The 20-litre capacity SI30H (formerly the SI20H) has a stainless steel interior, forced air circulation from side slots, and microprocessor-controlled temperature for outstanding uniformity and accuracy.

Compact and simple to use, it incorporates a variable over-temp safety thermostat, providing total protection.

Easy to lift in and out, the rotisserie has a rotational speed variable from 2-10rpm.

When removed, a platform fitted in the back of the incubator drops forward to form a rocking shaker with a variable speed control of between five and 70 oscillations per minute.

Functionally the same, the updated controls relate more specifically to temperature which is now quickly and easily set by push button, microprocessor controls for improved accuracy.

Configured with safety in mind, the set temperature - now displayed via a bright red LED clearly visible from across the lab - cannot be easily altered accidentally.

In addition, the incubator has built-in fault diagnostics so that should a problem occur, an error code will show on the LED display allowing speedy rectification by the service engineer.
