Unlike mercury, the brightly coloured blue spirit does not pose a health hazard and does not require special treatment if the thermometer is accidentally broken

The latest addition to the Quickfit range of thermometers is a new, ultra-safe version filled with a low toxicity spirit in place of the usual mercury.

The new thermometers feature an integral 14/23 cone and are the ideal choice for use in assemblies constructed from Quickfit glassware.

Fitting directly into still heads and other items, without the need for adapters or thermometer pockets, they simplify assembly and reduce the potential for leaks when used under vacuum.

The blue spirit is easily visible against the white background of the enclosed scale and the integral cone ensures that the immersion depth is always correct in order to give accurate readings.
