Colony counting gets easier

A Bibby Scientific product story
Edited by the Laboratorytalk editorial team Oct 28, 2004

Now available with a fixed angle x3 magnifier, which should enable easier viewing of the whole petri dish and colonies

Ideal for the fast and easy counting of bacterial mould colonies, the recently launched Stuart SC6 colony counter has a new accessory to improve end user ease and convenience.

By popular demand, the SC6 is now available with a fixed angle x3 magnifier, which Bibby Sterilin says has perfect focal length, enabling easier viewing of the whole petri dish and colonies.

This means there is now a choice between the flexible arm x1.7 magnifier and the new greater magnification x3 magnifier.

With a digital readout of 0 to 999, the easy-to-use SC6 can count multiple plates, calculating the average colony count via a built-in average count facility.
