Washbottles make their mark

A Bibby Scientific product story
Edited by the Laboratorytalk editorial team Jan 12, 2005

Bottles are available in two sized and have clear write-on/wipe-off areas for recording bottle contents, first use and expiry dates, lot number, originator and receipt date

Bibby Sterilin has unveiled its Azlon Tracker washbottle, which allows full traceability of contents.

It is of particular relevance to clinical and other hospital laboratories where bottle contents and their shelf life have to be clearly identified.

Tracker washbottles have clear write-on/wipe-off areas for recording bottle contents, first use and expiry dates, lot number, originator and receipt date.

Self-adhesive COSHH hazard symbol labels are also provided with the bottles to help end users meet the stringent labelling requirements of the Clinical Pathology Accreditation body (CPA).

The bottles are available in 250ml and 500ml capacities and are completely reusable - write on the bottle with any solvent-marker pen and simply wipe clean with acetone for re-use.

The new design totally eliminates the need for do-it-yourself labelling and is also very cost effective, says Bibby Sterilin.

Both sizes are available with either a plain cap or Driplok vapour venting cap for safe use with volatile solvents.
