A gem of a device for water testing

A Bibby Scientific product story

Jenway has launched what it says is one of the simplest systems for the quantitative analysis of a range of water, wastewater and environmental samples

AquaGem uses intelligent filter modules (IFM) which integrate the latest single wire memory device with precision optical filters.

Inserting a module into AquaGem not only selects the correct wavelength but sets all the other parameters for the required test too, leaving the operator to simply measure samples.

A range of 38 modules and water test kits are currently available with more planned for the future.

Virtually maintenance free, AquaGem uses a state-of-the-art, ultra-bright, white LED with press-to-read technology so the light source will never need replacing.

A specially designed sample holder ensures both round sample tubes and rectangular cuvettes can be used without additional accessories.

Just two AA batteries are required to power AquaGem for field use, while an optional carry case enables the instrument and accessories to be easily transported.

It is also supplied with a universal battery eliminator enabling use from any mains supply when laboratory analysis is preferred.

All readings taken on AquaGem are stored in non-volatile memory.

Using the PC software included they can be downloaded for review on a connected computer.
