High speed shaker has in-built timer

The new SSL5 compliments the SSM5 personal plate shaker and, like the SSM5, combines high speed motion with a tiny orbit to produce the ideal conditions to mix microtitre plates or tubes

Barloworld Scientific's range of Stuart bench top shakers has been extended with the addition of a versatile lab-scale microtitre plate shaker.

Plates are securely held to the unit by a non-slip mat.

The unit can also be used with separately available tube racks to mix 0.2ml, 0.5ml or 1.5ml or tubes.

Designed for maximum flexibility, the SSL5 operates at speeds from 250 to 1250rpm and has the capacity to mix 8 microtitre plates simultaneously.

As with all Stuart shakers, the SSL5 has an in built timer that can be programmed in seconds, minutes or hours, or set for continuous motion.

All programming features are controlled via an easy-to-read LED display.
