Bringing the total of available kits for general purpose sample preparation and fractionation of protein samples to nine, these three additions promise improved resolution and reproducibility

Bio-Rad Laboratories introduces three new ReadyPrep sample preparation kits to improve resolution and reproducibility of 2D electrophoretic gels.

These three bring the total of ReadyPrep kits to nine for general purpose sample preparation and fractionation of protein samples.

The ReadyPrep protein extraction kit (total protein) uses the detergent ASB-14 for total protein solubilisation in less than one hour.

The ReadyPrep protein extraction kit (soluble/insoluble) fractionates the proteome into two distinct fractions using differential solubilisation, while the ReadyPrep protein extraction kit (membrane II) is specifically designed to isolate complex membrane proteins prior to 2D electrophoresis.

The ReadyPrep range of chemical sample preparation kits, in conjunction with the preparative electrophoresis and Aurum proteomics tools from Bio-Rad offer the complete solution for protein sample preparation, says the company.
