Programmable power supply provides maximum voltage

A Bio-Rad Laboratories product story
Edited by the Laboratorytalk editorial team Sep 14, 2005

System can be used for a broad range of applications, from isoelectric focusing (IEF) and high-throughput electrophoresis to DNA sequencing

Bio-Rad Laboratories introduces the new PowerPac high voltage power supply featuring output of 5000V, 500mA and 400W.

Programmability allows users to conduct multi-step methods and timed runs, with constant voltage, constant current, constant power output or constant temperature.

The PowerPac HV's transparent new design is both compact and stackable and can simultaneously display all run parameters from its 128x64 pixel, backlit LCD.

Additionally, this new system enables users to transfer run data to PDAs and PCs for archiving, analysis, or annotation via wireless infrared technology.

Bio-Rad's PowerPac IQ/OQ protocols and test box are also available for exclusive use with the PowerPac HV power supply to support installation qualification and operational qualification (IQ/OQ) within GLP- and FDA- regulated environments.

Bio-Rad Laboratories is a multinational manufacturer and distributor of life science research products, clinical diagnostics and analytical instrumentation, based in Hercules, California.

The company serves more than 70,000 research and industry customers worldwide through a network of more than 30 wholly-owned subsidiary offices.
