Helping Napa Tour de Cure beat million
dollar goal
Bio-Rad Laboratories helped raise over $1 million during the Tour de Cure Napa Valley biking event on 7 May 2006 to benefit the American Diabetes Association
Nearly 160 Bio-Rad employees, family and friends participated in the Napa event, serving as riders or volunteers Tour de Cure is a series of 80 cycling events that take place each year in different locations across the United States
This is Bio-Rad's eighth year participating in this event.
Team Bio-Rad was recognized as a top 10 fundraiser in 2004 and 2005 in the Tour's nationwide "Top 10 Single Site Teams" competition.
This year, Team Bio-Rad finished in the top five fundraising teams at the Napa event.
"Tour de Cure is a great way for companies and individuals across the country to raise research dollars aimed at improving the lives of those who suffer from diabetes," said Bio-Rad president Norman Schwartz.
