The patent describes methods and the apparatus used for the precise positioning of an object using linear actuators based on linear stepper motors operating in microstepping or full step mode, a control algorithm based on compensation table as well as a calibration apparatus for obtaining the compensation table.
The BioOdyssey Calligrapher miniarrayer is an easy to use and high precision benchtop arrayer designed for novice protein arrayers.
The instrument prints any soluble molecules: antibodies, cell lysates, DNA, cDNA, or siRNA onto slides, membranes, or into the wells of 96 well plates.
The Calligrapher will print 384 samples in triplicate on 16 slides using eight pins in under two hours.
The icon-driven software is intuitive and includes predefined protocols for commonly used protein substrates, such as nitrocellulose-coated pad slides.
Specialised MCP pins and optimised default wash parameters ensure highly efficient cleaning and minimal sample carryover.
