Oscilloscope incorporates logic analyser
The new Agilent 54622D, now available from TTi (Thurlby Thandar Instruments), has been designed specifically for debugging mixed analogue/digital and MCU-based systems
A unique 2+16 mixed-signal configuration offers simultaneous oscilloscope and logic measurements, while a patented high-definition display works with deep memory to uncover more information about signals within a circuit.
The oscilloscope provides a solution to the three toughest problems: observing all the signals of interest at once; finding important details; and seeing how analogue and digital signals interact.
The 2+16 channel oscilloscope/logic-analyser configuration is combined with a 2Mbyte deep memory and a high-definition display which highlights areas of interest in signals, providing totally new insights into the operation of a circuit.
The exclusive Agilent MegaZoom deep-memory technology enables fast, responsive displays and offers two million samples of memory for every channel.
With a single capture, it can collect 10ms of data, and can still view 5ns details using simple pan-and-zoom controls.
Powerful cross-domain triggering makes it easier to capture elusive events and conditions.
The unit also has built-in triggering for PC buses.
For designs including the I2C bus, built-in I2C triggering is provided to 'de-serialise' command words and state conditions, greatly speeding the process of setting up triggering.
The Agilent 54622D is available from stock at TTi, and costs £3250 (plus VAT).
